The Kona Honzo ESD is an exceptional performing all-mountain hardtail that’s engineered and optimised for outstanding off-road pace, stability and control. It features a quality Chromoly (CrMo) frame that’s designed with modern enduro-inspired geometry, a 150mm-travel Marzocchi Bomber suspension fork and a Shimano 1×12-Speed groupset with hydraulic disc brakes. Plus, it rolls upon ultra-reliable Race Face AR30 rims wrapped in immense-grip Maxxis Wide Trail Assegai/Minnion tyres. And, it features a Race Face Aeffect finishing kit that includes handlebar, stem and chainset. This bike sits at the pinnacle of off-road hardtail mountain bike performance.

Steel Frame, Marzocchi Suspension and Race Face Components

If Mad Max rode a bike, it would be the Honzo ESD. It’s part Honzo, part monster, and with geometry that inspired the Process X, it’s made for those who want to punish the trails. A steel frame holds a Marzocchi Bomber Z1 fork with 150mm of travel. It’s got strong 4-piston brakes, grippy Maxxis rubber, and a headtube badge that will scare your children at night. Strong, Lightweight and Durable Kona Chromoly

Very few materials offer as much shock absorption, durability and supple-ride characteristics as steel. We’ve never strayed from cycling’s original material and have worked tirelessly to adapt, refine and innovate Kona Chromoly framesets as rider demands continue to evolve.

Tapered Head Tube

More girth at the bottom of the head tube better distributes shock force, prolonging the bearing life of the headset itself and eliminating brake shudder, while providing confident steering performance. The inherent strength of its triangular design also means a stronger steering position and improved balance, giving the rider more control in rough terrain. A zero-stack, tapered head tube also puts strength where the load is going—into the lower headset cup—maximizing bearing durability where it’s needed.

12x148mm Boost Axle for Greater Trail Stability

12x142mm, 12×148 and 12×157 rear axle standards provide two major advantages to the Kona rider: the 12mm diameter of the rear axle provides the rear hub and frame with a stiff interface, while the 142/148/157mm outer diameter of the hub allows the wheel to be quickly and properly positioned in the frame before the rear axle is inserted. For 2017, you’ll see the 12×148 Boost standard in the mix. Boost spacing provides more tire clearance at the chainstay yoke, while the rear wheel is stiffer and more durable relative to a 12×142 thru-axle.

Easy Assembly

When you order a bike, one of our trained mechanics will carefully prepare and pack your bike for shipping. Upon delivery, the assembly is simple and all necessary tools and plastic pedals are conveniently included in the box.

Depending on the delivery service and destination, bikes will either be delivered in a large or a small box. Below is a guide as to how your bike will arrive:

• All bikes for delivery within the UK and Republic of Ireland will be delivered in a large box, except for balance bikes and BMX bikes, which are always delivered in manufacturer’s boxes.
• All bikes for delivery within the EU on a standard service will be delivered in a large box. If an express delivery option is chosen, your bike will be packed into a small box. Again, the exception is balance bikes and BMX bikes, which are always delivered in manufacturer’s boxes.
• All bikes for worldwide delivery outside the EU will be delivered in small boxes.
